This radiator performance wind tunnel test bench is suitable for the heat dissipation performance test of radiators of automobiles, tractors and construction machinery engines. This test bench integrates the performance test of water radiator, warm air water tank, air-cooled oil radiator and intercooler.

 How the experiment works

  1. Rationale

When the air supplied by the wind tunnel system flows through the heat exchanger and the heat exchange fluid inside it (the heat carrier radiator parts), the air absorbs the heat released by the heat carrier.

When the heat exchange process meets the requirements of the heat balance index, the measurement system automatically collects various physical quantity data.

  2. Control of each physical quantity in the process

    The lower PLC system automatically adjusts the speed of the motor and the opening degree of the bypass electric valve through closed-loop control, so as to achieve accurate control of the flow of hot medium.

    The heating power of the heating device is automatically adjusted by the dynamometer to keep the medium temperature constant.

The wind tunnel speed regulation system automatically adjusts the fan speed to stabilize the wind speed within the indicators required by the test conditions.

  3. Data Processing

    Through the upper computer, the various physical quantities collected in the above process are calculated according to the principles and methods of heat transfer and heat exchanger thermal calculation, so as to calculate the heat absorption and heat release, and sort out the corresponding heat transfer coefficient and other results.

    In order to improve the accuracy of air mass flow, the calculation of air density and air specific heat also takes into account the influence of atmospheric pressure and humidity.

The result of data processing is in a form that meets the requirements of the relevant standards.
